Dhaka-Sonargaon-Manikganj-Tangail-Dhaka (4 Nights 5 Days)

Day 01:  Arrival

Arrive Dhaka airport and be received by our representative and transfer to designated hotel for overnight. If time permits, we will visit the National Parliament building –the master piece of world famous Architect Louis I. Kahn. Return to hotel for overnight stay.


Day 02: Dhaka City and Sonargaon Tour

After breakfast visit exotic Sadarghat river port crowded with different type of boats and crafts. Every day hundreds & thousands of passengers are transported by motor launches to and from far off places through this river port. You can find here the heritage paddle wheel steamer commonly called as Rocket Steamer Service built during British colonial period still in service and playing very important role for safe transport. Visit the wonderful historical Ahsan Manzil - the palace of Muslim Nawab known as Pink Palace, most ornamented Star Mosque of 16th century, Lalbagh Fort, Curzon Hall of Dhaka University and Dhakeswari Temple.


After lunch drive to Sonargaon (30 km) the old capital of Golden Bengal. The city was under Turkish Sultanate during 1280 AD. The main attractions of Sonargaon are ruins of Panam -the dead city, Goaldi Mosque and the rich Folk Art Museum with the panoramic lake and gardens. 

Drive back to Dhaka and overnight.


Day 03: Manikganj and Dhamrai Tour
Today we will visit Baliati Palace and brass artisan village.After early breakfast at 7 am, we will start drive to Manikganj (65 km, 2.5 hrs drive). Baliati Palace is a less known tourist spot in Bangladesh to the outer world located at Shaturia in Manikganj. It is one of the finest specimens of 19th century monuments of the Renaissance colonial style in Bangladesh. The founder of the Baliati Zaminder was one Govinda Ram Shaha, who was a big salt merchant in the middle of the 18th century. He left four sons and they built all these buildings in the palace complex. After visit the palace, drive to Dhamrai to visit brass artisan village and get experience their work and life style. Back to Dhaka and overnight.


Day 04: Tangail Tour

Early morning start for Tangail (100 km, 3 hrs drive). Visit Atia mosque (400 years old) and pottery village. Then visit to the neo-agriculture movement area, where you can see the local process to preserve seeds, puff rice making, weaving factories.


And then visit the Mohera Palace. This has several main buildings such as Chowdhury Lodge, Ananda Lodge, Moharaj Lodge, Kalicharan Lodge, Kachari Bhaban, Nayeb Bhaban, Rani Bhaban, etc. The palace is currently undertaken by the Police and they have established a training center there.

Return to Dhaka in the evening.


Day 05: Departure

After breakfast free at your own and transfer to airport for onward destination.
